The following incidents were reported to the Department of Public Safety between Sept. 26 and Oct. 8. This log was compiled by Flyer News from actual police reports obtained from the Department of Public Safety.

Criminal Trespassing

Sept. 26, 1:54 p.m.

Sgt. Snyder was dispatched to the S1 parking lot on Brown Street concerning a male subject walking among parked vehicles and looking into them. The man wore a blue baseball cap and a gray T-shirt. The subject was identified as a non-UD student and was questioned on what he was doing. The man replied and was arrested for Criminal Trespassing. He was issued a new Criminal Trespass Warning and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Grand Theft Auto

Sept. 27, 10:50 a.m.

Officer Arnold was dispatched to Plumwood Avenue on a report of a stolen car from the rear of Brown Street. He met with the victim who stated that at 10 a.m. he found his green 1992 GMC Sonoma truck was not where he parked it. He last saw his truck at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 26. Officer Arnold had the dispatcher call Sandy's Towing Service in an attempt to locate the truck, however they were unable to help. There are no known witnesses or suspects.

Unlawful Entry, Burglary

Oct. 7, 12:41 p.m.

Officer Weber met with a UD student on Stonemill Road in reference to a burglary. The student said he left his residence at 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 6 and returned to find an unknown person had entered and removed a Tangent laptop, a Playstation 2, a Kodak digital camera and a black book bag. An open window was found in the residence and the suspect appeared to have entered through the east door which was left open.

Criminal Damaging

Oct. 8, 8:33 a.m.

Officer Parmenter was on patrol in the area of the RP17 parking lot at the rear of Stonemill Road when he saw a damaged vehicle. He contacted the owner of the gray 2005 Ford Escape and told her about the broken left rear passenger window and large dent in the same door. She parked her car around 4:30 p.m. Oct. 7 and had not been back to it since then. There was no useable evidence found in or around the vehicle to identify the suspect.

Criminal Mischief

Oct. 8, 1:15 p.m.

Officer Parmenter was dispatched to Kiefaber Street due to a criminal mischief complaint. Upon arrival he spoke with a UD student who said someone after 4 a.m. opened his unlocked white 2005 Chevrolet Aveo and dumped several food items all over the interior of the vehicle. Inside was barbecue sauce, dried macaroni and another unidentified food item. The glass barbecue sauce jar was shattered outside the vehicle. Nothing inside was missing.
