Students participated in the ultimate battle between the UD student

neighborhoods Friday afternoon in Capture the Flag, hosted by Student Government Association.

Participants met in P-lot for the start of the race around 4:30 p.m. Teams were divided by residents of the Ghetto and the Darkside neighborhoods.

The game included safe zones, jails and houses to hang flags from, along with the typical rules of capture the flag. "It's really promising to see students from both neighborhoods coming together," Ghetto Senator Mike O'Leary said.

The College Park area, Fairgrounds, Gardens on Stewart and the Darkside streets counted for the Darkside territory while all of the Ghetto streets, Campus South, Lawnview and Gardens on Lowes and Frericks accounted for the Ghetto territory.

"The Ghetto and the Darkside senators collaborated (on this event)," Ghetto Senator Natalie Horras said. "We were financially supported by a few other senators' budgets, including Garden Apartments, junior class and Lawnview Senators."

The teams played three games with the first being a tie for corrections

in rules and boundaries. The Ghetto won the second game and the Darkside won the third.

Following the event, free pizza was served at ArtStreet along with CAB events.

"It went alright, but there are always improvements to be made," Horras said. "I wish we would have tried it in the fall so that we knew how to work out the kinks, but it was pretty successful."
