A-10 Tournament First Round: George Washington vs. Dayton, first half
March 09, 2010
With everything on the line, Dayton came out shaky. They have recovered nicely however.
The Flyers have been paced by a strong offensive attack from the Johnsons, who combined for 21 of Dayton's 37 first half points.
It was a slow start for Dayton, which surrendered a 13-4 lead to George Washington in the game's opening minutes.
The Flyers battled back however and took the lead, with much thanks to Chris Johnson and Rob Lowery's shooting. The two combined to go 5-7 from the three point line in the first half.
Marcus Johnson added 10 points in the first frame as well, as Dayton's advantage stretched to as many as eight points.
GW's Damian Hollis scored 11 for the colonials, including a putback as time expired to bring the score to within four.
