MINNEAPOLIS- First media timeout in the second half, and the Flyers lead by six at 41-35. Dayton will have the ball when the timeout resumes.
Junior center Kurt Huelsman seems to be struggling offensively so far, he's getting heavy double-team pressure from the West Virginia frontcourt.
After doing a little scoreboard watching, I've noticed that at UD Arena, Pittsburgh leads by just four over East Tennessee State. Too bad the arena is probably not very full due to the game being at the same time as UD's game here in Minnesota.
Also, after being at UD Arena for the last time Dayton hosted tournament games in 2006, my unbiased view is that the arena is a much better tournament atmosphere than the dome here. There is just too much space for the amount of people that are at the game, and the crowd echoes. I feel like the sound is sometimes lost in the bubble at the top of this place.
Minneapolis is a tremendous host, but they might be better suited to host the tournament at the Target Center located down the street. The arena is home to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
