Unlawful Entry

February 13, 9:00 a.m.

Officer Arnold met with a UD student at Benisek Hall on a report of a possible burglary. The complainant stated that on February 11 at approximately 3 a.m. an unknown person kicked in the front door and entered her residence on Lowes Street. She stated that she confronted the person, who was accompanied by another male and two females, in her kitchen and asked the group to leave the house. She stated that the four refused to leave until she threatened to call the UD Police. The four unknown suspects then fled the house and broke several pieces of her lawn furniture that had been on the front porch. Officer Arnold was unable to find any evidence of forced entry as there was no deadbolt on the door to the residence. One of the suspects had entered the first floor bedroom of the complainant's roommate and used a permanent marker to write the letter "B" and the number "40" with two stick figures of people on the bedroom door. The complainant described the four suspects as late 20s to early 30s.

It appeared the damage was caused by someone running or walking over the top of the complainant's vehicle.

February 18, 12:33 a.m.

Officers Pease and Zoerb were in the CS parking lot on another case when they noticed that the front right hubcap of University Vehicle #91 was broken, and a portion of the hubcap was lying on the ground. The damage indicated that someone kicked or struck the plastic hubcap causing it to break. The vehicle was parked in front of the rear entrance to a residence on Irving Avenue. Officer Orrill had been in the parking lot approximately five minutes before Officer Zoerb noticed the damage and stated that he didn't notice any damage to the vehicle while he was in the parking lot.

Forcible Entry

February 19, 6:55 p.m.

Officer Cloyd was dispatched to Kiefaber Street on a possible burglary. The complainant stated that on February 18 at around 10:15 p.m., his roommate called and said that someone had kicked in the front door. The complainant asked his roommate to notify Public Safety about the damage. On February 19 at 1:30 p.m., the complainant returned from Columbus, OH, and found that the door was still damaged.
