Crime Log - September 28, 2007
The following incidents were reported to the Department of Public Safety between Sept. 3 and Sept. 23. This log was compiled by Flyer News from actual police reports obtained from the Department of Public Safety.

Criminal Damaging
Sept. 3, 8:26 a.m.
Officer Jolly went to the P parking lot by the Frericks Center on a report of a damaged vehicle. He met with a male UD staff member who said that he had left his 2006 Hyundai in the lot Aug. 30 and left for the weekend. Upon returning to the vehicle Sept. 3 he found that the rear wing window on the rear driver's side door had the glass broken out. The driver's side rear door was also ajar. He also thought a jacket had been taken from the back seat.
Theft
Sept. 3, 9:39 a.m.
Officer Parmeter went to the A parking lot on the report of a vehicle that had been broken into. The male UD student's silver 2002 Volkswagen had broken auto glass on the ground next to the passenger side. When the victim had returned to the lot about ten minutes earlier he found the broken passenger window and that his Pioneer car stereo with a detachable faceplate and portable air compressor had been stolen.
Criminal Damaging
Sept. 22, 5:32 p.m.
Officer Cloyd was dispatched to the lower S-2 parking lot in regards to criminal damaging. He met with a male student who said that about three weeks before someone had broken his driver's side rear view mirror on his Pontiac Sunbird. He fixed it himself and parked his car in the lot again on Sept. 15. Upon returning to the lot Sept. 22 at 5:15 p.m. he found the mirror broken off. He believes it may be linked to punishments he issued as a resident assistant.
Theft
Sept. 23, 3:37 p.m.
Officer Durian went to a UD owned residence on Woodland Street in regards to a theft. The male UD student said that on Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. he saw his American flag on his front porch. But around 11 a.m. on Sept. 23 he noticed it was missing. He already had looked around his residence and could not find the flag. He found three portions of his flag pool on the Woodland block. The flag is valued at about $25 and there are no known suspects.
Criminal Damaging
Sept. 23, 3:50 p.m.
Officer Durian met with a complainant in UD's PS parking lot in regards to a damaged vehicle. The female student said that at midnight she had parked her 2002 red Ford Focus in the lot. But upon returning at 3:20 p.m., the victim noticed damage had been done to her vehicle. The rear passenger side bumper now had a small white scratch on it. The student will be filing a claim with Safeco Insurance Company and there are no known suspects.
